Guest Bio

We’re Mon and Alisha, two social media-obsessed female entrepreneurs with a background in video production. When we joined forces to create Rise With Reels, it was the first reels-focused course on the market. Now, after three rounds, we’ve taught over 400 students and brought in over $250K in total… all before we’d even met in person.

Hello and welcome to the Clare Wood Podcast, where myself and incredible guests share about money mindset, financial successes, and how to manage your money in a fun and practical way to create wealth and abundance in both your business and your life. I’m your host, Clare Wood. I’m a business coach and a money mentor. I strongly believe that money has the power to positively change the world. Clare:

Welcome to the podcast. The queens of Instagram Reels, Alisha and Monique. Ladies, I’m so excited to have you here to chat all about Reels but also to chat all about your money wins. So before we get in, I might hand over to each of you to do a quick intro to who you are and what you do.

Monique:

Thank you so much for having us here, Clare. So I’m Monique, I am @thesocialista_ on Instagram, I am an Instagram coach, Reels coach, and the co-creator of Rise With Reels with the lovely Alisha.

Alisha:

And I’m Alisha. I am from thesocialimpact.au on Instagram, and I came across this lovely lady last year, and our paths just came and they crossed. And so together we have created the Rise With Reels course. Outside of it, I do Reels coaching for specifically product-based businesses, whilst Mon is focusing and the queen of the service-based and coaches. So together we are the dynamic duo that becomes the Reels Queens.

Monique:

Woohoo.

Clare:

Love it. So okay, so let’s start right back at the beginning. How did you actually meet each other?

How did Monique and Alisha connect?

Alisha:

All right, so it all started with a DM.

Monique:

She slid into my DMs.

Alisha:

So it all started with a DM. I came across Mon and I said, “This chick is good.” And because I have a background in video, and film, and TV, I have such appreciation for anyone who can create videos. I’m like, “Look at those camera techniques. Look at this. She knows her stuff.” And I found Mon and because Mon comes from a background of video and marketing, I was like, “Yeah, she’s good, she’s good.” Anyway, I slipped into her DMs. We ended up having our first live together. We sort of just started talking each Monday. I think I fostered upon Mon.

Monique:

Just a little bit.

Alisha:

I don’t think it was a choice. I was just like, “All right. Every Monday, we’re going to check in with each other, being an entrepreneur, being a small business owner, it can get really lonely. So we’re going to check in on each other. We’ve got similar style of businesses. So each Monday, let’s share our wins, let’s keep accountable. We have a little dance party. 20 seconds, we’ll just dance it out and start the week right. And we kept doing this to the point where Reels came out and we both saw success. And Mon had just done a Reels master class and I called her. It was the first time I ever FaceTimed her and she was like… I feel, in my head, I was like, “Oh my gosh, she’s going to be like, ‘Why is this girl FaceTiming me? We don’t do this.’” Anyways, she picked up, I threw the idea to her, and she was a little bit hesitant because she’d just done this Reels master class, and she’s like, “What’s going to be different?” I was like, “Mon, it’s us. It’s us. Look at us. We’ve never met but we’re bouncing.”

And anyway, we just got right into it. That’s one of the things I love most about Mon and myself together is we don’t wait. We come up with an idea and then like, done. By this evening, it’s going to be ready. And by this evening, we are going to start talking about it and getting it out there and making things happen because time is the most powerful thing. And you waste it, you’re never going to get back.

Monique:

You miss it, exactly. And it’s so funny because you know how you see people at shops or whatever? And you’re like, “Hey. Oh my gosh, I haven’t seen you in ages. We should catch up for a coffee one day.” But that day never comes, right? But with Alisha, it was totally different. She was like, “We’re doing this. We’re doing this.” Okay, we’re doing this. And then one day, I was over my boyfriend’s house and we messaged, “Okay. Let’s put a plan. Let’s draw up a plan now.” I’m like, “Okay, let’s do it.” And so we did it. And that was the start of Rise With Reels. We made a plan, we wrote out what we’re going to talk about and then we started marketing it before we’d even made the course, before it even opened up, turned our cameras on, made the presentations, we started marketing and selling the spots, which I think is the best decision that we ever made to this.

Clare:

So Alisha was like, “Let’s do this, let’s launch this course together.” And what has happened from there? How long has Rise With Reels been around? How many people have come through the program? All of those things.

When Rise With Reels was launched

Monique:

Amazing. We have over 400 incredible Reelers in the community at the moment. 400 people who are using Reels to skyrocket their business, skyrocket their brands, and take their business to the next level. And we follow all of them on our Instagram Reels community page. So we keep up to date as to where they are and what’s happening. And there are just so many incredible things that are happening in their lives, but they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do if it wasn’t for Reels bringing that awareness and that visibility to their businesses or even to their brands. For example, influences or businesses. It’s just been incredible. So we have 400 Reelers and counting in there inside of the course. Our first course launched in November 2020. And then we’re now up to… We’re about to launch round four. So this is the fourth time that we’ve launched it in July. So it’s just been… We’re just so grateful and we’re just so proud of all the people who have gone through the course and have had these dramatic transformations.

Clare:

Well, we’re going to talk about some of the Reelers’ wins later on in the program. But before we get into that, I want to talk about your wins. So this is a money podcast. If you guys don’t mind sharing, how much revenue have you made specifically from Rise With Reels today?

Monique and Alisha’s wins and revenue from Rise With Reels

Alisha:

So from Rise With Reels, we’ve made about over a quarter of a million together. And that was actually… We brought that in, I don’t know, like I still..

Monique:

I still pinch myself.

Clare:

I got goosebumps when you said that. That’s so incredible.

Alisha:

I’m in Melbourne so I already have goosebumps but I got even bigger goosebumps. So that was all sort of made before we actually met each other, which is, I think, one of most incredible parts of our story. And that’s one of the parts that pinch me the most that we’re able to have this impact of two girls with a really, really big dream and passion. And they’ve not even met personally. So that was sort of just before we’ve met each other. That was after the third round.

Clare:

I might just cut you off there quickly for the listeners and let them know. So we are in Australia here, and Alisha lives in a city called Melbourne, and Monique lives in the city of Sydney. So hence why they had never met each other. They’d been launching this course multiple times and had never met each other in person, which probably in part was due to a small virus that’s going around at the moment called coronavirus.

Monique:

Just a little.

Clare:

That tends to hamper travel a bit. But it’s really, really cool that you’ve been able to create this incredible course. And up until recently, you had not even met each other in person. How awesome is that?

Alisha:

Yeah.

Clare:

Sorry to cut you off there. I just wanted to put that in context for people listening.

Alisha:

No. So it was after round three with everything we’d sort of really, really worked for, and through our Reelers investing in us. It was, yeah, over a quarter, just over a quarter of a million in. And of course, we know, and that’s something we’ll definitely talk about, is we’ve invested so, so much bof that back into the business because for us, the more money wins, I guess, we have, it means the more wins we can allow our Reelers. We’ve got things in the works and they’re going to be big investments for us. But because we’re able to… Because of our Reelers investing in us, we’re now able to [inaudible 00:09:08], we have more money that we can put back into you.

Monique:

Yeah, exactly. And I think when we first started the course, we had no idea that it was going to be like this. We were actually just creating it for people, audience who really just needed a kick start with Reels, really just wanted to understand how to do it. And they got so many wins from it. And we’re like, “Okay, we need to launch this again. People want in.” And the best part about what we’ve launched is it’s an MVP, right? It’s a low variable kind of product to start because it doesn’t really take a whole heap to set up. It does take a lot of time. But as we..

Alisha:

A lot of time.

Monique:

People think, “I’m going to launch a course. I’m going to make $100,000. It’s going to be easy breezy. I do it once and it’s done.” Oh my goodness, there is… We just need to have Rise With Reels as its own job, which as of last week or two weeks ago, Rise With Reels is now doing company, which I’m so super stoked about.

Clare:

Yay.

Monique:

So yeah, big moves like we said. It wasn’t until we hit round three that were like, “Okay, let’s go hard. Let’s invest in this. Let’s do this. Let’s do that,” because we had the funds behind us to be able to facilitate all these massive changes, which are going to benefit our Reelers in the end of the day, which is so fulfilling.

Clare:

Amazing. So just going back, what does MVP mean for anyone who isn’t familiar with that term?

Monique:

So it’s almost like the minimum viable product. So how can you create something, not on the cheap, but how can you create something with a low expense sort of bracket that is still going to give your audience or your clients results, which is what we did. We started off small, gave our audience a little bit as the foundations. And then each round, we then evolved the course, added more videos, added more templates, added more resources into there because as we’re bringing in money, we’re able to then reinvest that back into the course and grow it as it is. Too many people think, “I’m going to start this. It needs to be this massive thing from the start. Everything needs to be in and ready.” No. It’s like Apple, right? Started in your garage, the same as us. You start it small and then explodes into something big. Yeah, that’s exactly right.

Clare:

And anyone who is a regular listener will know I am such a big fan of this. This is exactly how I created my courses from the start. I didn’t even have a Kajabi or a portal to… I would just email out the templates. I’d have a free Facebook page. And that’s totally fine if you’re just getting started and you don’t have the funds behind you to invest in a big, massive, initial launch. So, okay. Coming back to the launch, we’ve spoken about the incredible revenue that you guys have brought in from this program. Has it helped you make money in other parts of your business as well?

How Rise With Reels brought in money to other parts of the business for Monique & Alisha

Monique:

100%. Alisha and I, we both have one-on-one clients and we also both have a group coaching program. And what we’ve found in this is that Rise With Reels acts as a stepping stone to working with us in higher levels. So a lot of my clients now have come from Rise With Reels from the service industry or the coach industry because they see me as that leader in that space. I also had clients message me saying, “I wanted to join this program because I was a part of Rise With Reels. I loved how you taught in there. I love the wins that I was able to experience.” It almost makes them think and wonder, “Wow. If I could get this much value and these incredible wins from spending 700 Australian dollars and doing a self-paced course, imagine what I could do if I work with her in a one-on-one capacity or in a group setting. Imagine the wins that I could then have and the growth that I can then see for my business.” And I know it’s the same for you, Alisha, as well.

Alisha:

Yeah, 100%. It’s just a stepping stone. And I think it started off with our businesses were the front and center, and then Rise With Reels was this extra thing. But we’ve realized that we both started our businesses because, yes, we wanted that financial freedom. We wanted to be our own bosses, yes, but we wanted to help people. And to be able to help such a large amount of people, right? Instead of these one-on-ones, they’re valuable, they’re great. But at the end of the day, when we’re able to go to bed knowing that we’ve helped so many people in that amount of time that we’ve given, it’s so incredible.

So because of this and because of the financial success from Rise With Reels, that’s our priority now. Everything we do, we’re like, “It’s good for Rise With Reels, it’s good for Rise With Reels. Rise With Reels.”

Clare:

Yeah. And of course, what that then means is that it’s supporting both of you in your own businesses as well, which is just fantastic. So how do you guys feel talking about money? How does it feel getting that information out there into the world? I’d love to know how it feels to talk about it now, and perhaps how it might have felt to talk about it in the past.

Monique:

Not going to lie, it was scary. It still is scary. Like when Alisha said that number before, I literally kind of cringed a little bit and smiled at the same time because we’re not a part of a society where we’re just so super open about how much money we make and what we’re able to bring in and what is possible for people because it’s almost like, I know I even felt this when I saw people share their money wins. “Oh. Maybe she’s just bragging.” That’s one thing that people might think. And they might think, “Oh, I could never get to that point.”

But now, I look at people that have incredible money wins and they shared online, I’m like, “Ah, that person has given me inspiration. If they can do it, I can do it too,” which then brings you closer together in order to work with that person and build that relationship because the moment that I shared our money, and it wasn’t even the full money win because I was scared, right? What was the number that I said, Alisha, that how much make we made?

Alisha:

I think you were like 100 or something. You were half of the amount, and you’re like, “Oh, did you see that I did this?”

Monique:

And I was so nervous. So on the way to meeting Alisha about a month and a half ago in Melbourne, I put up a Reel saying, “I’m so excited to meet my bestie. We’ve created a course together. We’ve grown together and we’ve made, I think I said 150K together.” Everyone went wild. We got a podcast interview with incredible podcast down in Melbourne. So much traction from this all because I shared a fraction of the money that we had because our story is so unique in terms of us creating a course and not meeting and then able to make this much revenue has just been good.

So I think taking that one step was necessary and now we’re about to go into that next phase where we actually say how much we’ve made. That makes the pit of my stomach a bit nervous but I know it needs to be done because we need to step out in showing what Reels can actually do for your business, not just in creating a course, but we have marketed this course just using Reels up until now.

Clare:

Well, that was the next thing that I… And It’s kind of a really great segue. So one thing that I always remind people when I share my money wins is I’m like, “Just to be clear, I just had a $125,000 launch of my course.” I’m like, “I don’t have that money sitting as cash in a bank account because firstly, you have expenses in your business.” And here in Australia particularly, the tax man gets his hands on a whole bunch of it, as you guys who would know.

Alisha:

Don’t start on that. Let’s not talk tax.

Clare:

I come from an accounting background. I’m a CPA and I do like to remind people that when you do hear people talking about those numbers, don’t think that they’ve got all of that cash sitting in a bank account necessarily. But, on that note, I would love to know to get to this point, to get to the point in your business where you’re having a $100,000 launch in your course, what had you invested in your businesses up until that point or in the Rise With Reels?

What investments did Monique and Alisha make in their businesses and with Rise With Reels

Alisha:

So we’ve done three launches so far, and we dropped four at the moment. And for our third launch, which is our biggest and just craziest yet, so that was a six figure launch. And there was no ads whatsoever. There was no ad spend. And we had used some ads prior to that but in the previous launch, but this launch, we felt it was so powerful to be able to show our Reelers, our potential Reelers, everyone what is possible utilizing purely Reels, right? We used Reels. Of course, we used Stories a little bit as well but Reels is how people found us. And when we asked our Reelers, “How did you find us?” Like, “Reels.” I’m like, “Well, speaks for itself, right?”

The reach of those are so incredibly powerful organically. So we didn’t invest in our last launch. We didn’t invest in paid ads. We have invested, obviously, in our platform. We were using Podia. We’ve just stepped it up a notch and move to Kajabi where that’s purely, again, for our Reelers. We’re investing back into our Reelers to give them a better platform. We’ve invested in… Prior to this round, as I said, this round, we’ve gone a lot harder on our investments. What else did we invest in prior to that third round, Mon?

Clare:

Did you do any copy or a website or anything? Sorry to interrupt.

Monique:

Prior to the third launch, we actually both invested in our own coaches. This is a huge game changer for both of us because it allowed us to, one, work on our money mindset in the way that we accept money in. Hence, the reason why we are more okay with sharing our money wins now. But it also allowed us to work with someone closely to make the launch as successful as it is. But now that we’ve just finished Rise With Reels round three, we have now reinvested into… We made a brand new website. The brand new platform. We’ve got real documents from lawyers.

Alisha:

Yes, real, legal protection.

Monique:

This was a huge investment even for me. I was like, “Oh, do we need this? Can’t we just get a template online? Isn’t it the same?” Alisha’s like, “No, we need this.” I’m like, “Okay.” So we invested in getting terms and conditions drawn up and all this kind of stuff drawn up that is just for Rise With Reels which is so great because, again, protection. You’re dealing with people from all around the world, you need something in there. What else did we invest in?

Alisha:

That was a big investment. And literally, it was just before the end of the financial year and Mon sent me a message. She’s like, “Do we really need this? This is a big investment.” And she’s like, “It’s a big investment for paper, like documents.” And obviously she sees more value with that. But anyway, I was like, “Mon, this is so, so important.” I get how scary this can seem but all the investments that we made, and especially the legal things, it’s investing so that we save time and save potentially money later on down the track, right?” Whether it’s our coaches, our coaches are helping us save time because they’ve experienced it themselves and that’s what we tell our Reelers as well. But also you are catapulting yourself further. You’re giving yourself all this momentum into the future of where you’re making all this money and you’re like, “Well, if I hadn’t have taken that step, if I hadn’t taken that Reels course, or I haven’t had worked with that coach, then I probably wouldn’t be making this much money now or I probably wouldn’t had just accomplished my crazy dream, which a year ago I thought was crazy and now it’s my everyday reality.”

Monique:

It’s quantum leaping, squashing time to be able to get you to that next step a lot faster. It’s almost like… I liken it to Disneyland. Would you prefer to wait in a line at Disneyland for that ride? That ride line could take two hours. You know it has that little pole that says, “Two hours from this point.” You’re like, “Oh, really?” Or you can go to the kiosk, you can buy a fast pass, and it will take you to the front of the line, right? So why in any situation would you… Because imagine, you’re in the park for eight hours. And you spent two hours in this line. Which means you only have six hours left to do the rest of the rides. But if you have a fast pass, you are able to jump to the front of the queue, you’re able to get on that ride within half an hour. You’ve just saved an hour and a half, which you can then go on other rides and do other things with your life, with your business and take you further.

So that’s definitely how I liken investing in yourself and investing in something that is going to catapult you to that success that you’re looking for.

Alisha:

And I think one thing just on investing as well is people don’t realize until, I think, you’re a business owner where you are investing in yourself… People don’t realize, one, the power of it. You know, it’s not gambling. If it’s on yourself and you’re dedicated and you’ve got these goals that you’re ready to work for, it’s not gambling on yourself, right? It’s not like you’re going out in a horse and maybe you know, you’re betting on the footy or whatever and maybe fingers crossed right? But the other thing people don’t realize with having their own business and investing is like I told a few of my friends about the money wins.

I felt so incredibly nervous but I told a few of my friends and you know, one or two of them did say, “alright so you know breakfast or brunch is on you this weekend.” And I’m like, “Ay, it’s like first of all this is split down the middle. Second of all, the tax man, look around you he’s right behind us. Third of all, all of its is not like…” It is I would say like I’m still paying myself since the success. I am still paying myself the same amount that I earned in my nine to five job. I am investing pretty much all of it, I take the bare minimum of what I need to survive because this is what I want to be putting that money back into.

Monique:

Exactly right.

Clare:

Yeah, and one thing I do want to say on the whole money front as well is that what you spend your money on is completely up to you. And sometimes it feels really beautiful and abundant to spoil your friends and family, and sometimes actually you want to spend it on yourself or back in your business. And in my opinion, what you spend your money on is completely your own business. So I do like to remind people of that. People are always going to have judgments or thoughts about what you invest in. People are always going to say I can’t believe you spent that much on a business coach or on a course or even on a car or an outfit. But at the end of the day, it’s your money and you get to choose what you want to do with it. So I love that. Thank you for sharing.

And Alisha, I totally agree with what you’re saying about the legals, obviously. I’m actually Alisha’s business coach and I was the one who said, “You have to make sure that you are protected legally,” because I can’t tell you how many of my clients unfortunately have really found this out the hard way. And when you do try and take shortcuts in any area of your business, you try and go the cheap route, it will usually come back to bite you in the ass. It’s happened to me in the past. And I’ve now learned if I want to learn something or get something done, I go to the best and I think you guys, you’re really owning this space in the space of Reels as well. You self declared the Instagram Reels and I know that there are other people who might create a cheaper course or offering out there, but I’m willing to bet that it’s not as good. So something to keep in mind if you are looking to invest.

So the next question that I wanted to ask, you guys have both touched on mindset. You know now that you are in business, you are launching, there’s a lot of mindset challenges that come up all the time, right? You don’t hit a quarter of $1,000,000 and then you never struggle again, right? So how does mindset play into how you now run your businesses?

How Monique and Alisha worked on their mindset challenges

Monique:

It plays a huge role and I think when you step into your leadership and you step into the fact that you are the go-to person in this industry, people are going to gravitate towards you because they know, “Why am I going to go and buy this from someone else who is okay, but they’re not known for that. But instead I’m going to buy it from the best, because you’re going to end up coming to buy it anyway from the best, because you didn’t get what you wanted to get from there.” So many people had maybe invested in smaller courses or challenges before they did Rise With Reels. And they messaged us and they said, “Just from module one. I learned so much more from you girls than I did from anyone else.” And here’s the reason why. Alisha and I come from film, TV, video marketing degrees. We don’t just teach you how to create Reels based on one-hour experience to what we see online, this is not what we do.

One, this is the first Instagram Reels course because we created it less than two months after Reels launched, but we use all the techniques, all of our years of studying from our degrees to put into this course, which makes it a standout course. So I think coming to mindset, it’s more about a place of abundance as well that I am abundant in what I know and I know I can transform lives. So it’s just about really being sure about yourself, sure about what you can deliver because you can go out there, guns blazing saying, “Come to me, come to this, do this because you are going to get these results.”

So being really sure of yourself and kind of pushing aside that self-doubt because we’ve got all these Reelers here that can proclaim that it is worth it. Which then also helps with our self-doubt as out as well because you are going to get impostor syndrome. You are going to have self-doubt. These are all things that happen in business regardless of what stage you’re at. But it’s the way that you navigate those mindset shifts is what propels you and allows you to bounce back faster than sitting in that and dwelling that for too long.

Clare:

Yeah.

Alisha:

And also the mindset of the big, big blind side of the fact that, yes, we were sort of the first to come out with a course, and we… And I would like to correct you Clare, we weren’t self-proclaimed Reels Queens. Everyone started calling us Reels Queens.

Clare:

It’s true.

Alisha:

And then we rolled with it. Thank you very much. But no problems. Don’t worry, it’s alright, you’re forgiven. But a big, big thing as well is that because we were sort of there, and people have now seen success, and we’ve got people who have seen success that others have got, and as Mon said we do have this background. It’s not a case of we’ve just had one Reel go viral and we’re like, “Okay, you want to learn my secrets in this one thing? Okay, let me look around what everyone else is doing,” and we have created it purely on video marketing knowledge. We’ve based it on the psychology of video and understanding that from our backgrounds. And yes, we’ve come in utilizing what we’ve been able to test like crazy through Reels.

But the mindset comes in because now we see people posting Reels and intent sometimes. I’m like, “Mon, this is a crazy, crazy big person here in America and her Reel is exactly the same as yours.” Or there might be someone selling a Reels course, and someone else, one of our Reelers sent me this girl’s Reel and was I like, “Alisha, this is the song that you did. These are the three tips that you did. This is literally cut the fluff what you did the other day when you almost cut your hair.” Like they’re using your Reel and your terms and your themes to promote their own Reels course. And this is where the mindset has really pushed us through this time because we are trying to focus on our own race. We’ve got to know that we were the first ones to come out with this course, we have helped over 400 business owners, 400 brand owners to create these results.

And yeah, there’s other people jumping on the bandwagon because they’ve seen the success. But the fact is that we know the power within us. We know the energy that we provide and to keep that mindset where we’re not focused and not letting others frustrate or irritate, or we’re not wasting our time focusing on other people’s races.

Monique:

Exactly right.

Clare:

Yeah, as much as strategy is all important, it really does come down to mindset, doesn’t it? It’s been just incredible to watch the transformation in you guys and the evolution of your business to date. And I know you’re only just getting started. I would love for you to share… You guys have spoken a lot about the results that people have achieved inside Rise With Reels. I’d love for you to share some of the results and successes that you guys have seen from some of the Reelers.

The results that people have achieved inside Rise With Reels

Monique:

Yes, it has been awesome seeing our Reelers achieve so many incredible things because it actually blows our minds of how successful our Reelers are. I’ll give you an example of one. He is an influencer, his name is Adrian. He’s one of our… We love him so much. He’s a food blogger, right? And he has gone from just creating food blogger Reels and contents to then joining our course, learning how to create effective Reels. He is now the Reels king. If you need to find him, melbournefoodnerd, oh my goodness. Now he’s working with some of the best brands in Australia in the food industry to promote their products. For example, DoorDash. He just did a collaboration with them where he was paid by DoorDash to create content for them and post it on his page. This never… These opportunities did not come to him before joining the course.

And then we have someone like Kate, right? And Kate is based in the UK and she talks about the importance of freezing your food. Now Reels gave her the visibility for big people in this industry. They were holding a pop-up week about food and food safety and food awareness and things like that. They saw her Reels about freezing food and health and all that kind of stuff and they approached her and they said, “Hey Kate, we’d love for you to have your own pop-up inside of our week on Oxford Street in the UK. Oxford Street. Not just some random Street like the Main street in the UK. And it wasn’t just like one of those tents on the road. No, it was a hole in the wall, actually a space in a building.

Alisha:

She had an LED screen.

Monique:

I know, LED screens everywhere and I was like, “Oh my gosh.” You can translate your Reels into bringing you successes for your business. And then…

Alisha:

The fact is as well with Kate is they said, “We found you because of your Reels.” And that’s the biggest thing because a lot of people have asked us, “Oh, how do you know that it wasn’t because of what else?” I’m like, “We’re able to ask people.” Our Reelers are able to say, “Oh, how did you find me?” They’d say, “Your Reels.” And on Adrian, he’s made… And actually Kate as well, that they’re making secondary incomes because of these opportunities that Reels have led. Adrian’s making a secondary income, which I never imagined the idea of me potentially coming off full-time work in science. But now, I’m making a lot of money through my Reels and I’m cutting through the space. And Kate as well. She’s just got an opportunity to create Reels for a not-for-profit organization, which for her, she said, “This is a dream for me. This is absolutely a dream for me.”

Monique:

Dream come true.

Alisha:

We’ve got as well Behar who, she’s actually an ecommerce profit coach. And she said that from one of her Reels, just one, she was able to lock in… How much was it, Mon?

Monique:

$13,000 of sales.

Alisha:

$13,000 from sales for her product-side business. And she’s got multiple businesses that she’s able to now apply Reels to. And she’s like, “You know, I did another one for my coaching business, and I locked in a $5,000 client.” So these sort of money wins, we’re like, “I can’t believe I didn’t invest sooner.” We’ve also got Vanilla studio. Mon, do you want to explain that?

Monique:

Vanilla. So, Vanilla. And that’s the thing that I love about our Reels course, we know everyone by name, by their business, where they’re at and where they’ll… It’s not just a number to us, which is why we have all their names in our wall, and we keep their names up because they’re so special to us. So Vanilla [inaudible 00:34:54] video, she created a Reel using her products. And she spoke about before and after the evolution of how her products she makes like dishes and things like that. Ring dishes, and all that kind of stuff and incredible pieces. Showing how she went from this to that. Maybe her mediocre stuff to now her amazing incredible stuff.

That Reel has skyrocketed. It had so many views. It brought in so many new followers, so many DMs inquiring about her services. And the same with Kate. Kate, she posted a Reel about… I want to say about a month ago. She has now 6.5 million views on that Reel. And we are sitting back here just absolutely in awe of her, and cheering her on because we know that this course has changed her life. And we are so grateful to be a part of that journey. So wins are like money wins, followers, engagements, brand deals, more secondary income. It’s just like there’s so many ways that you can get wins from Reels.

Alisha:

Power Reels, baby.

Monique:

Power Reels.

Clare:

Okay, I know you guys can’t see, but I’m actually on video with these girls at the moment and they are lit up with excitement, sharing all of these amazing success stories. And I know there’s many more. So do make sure that you go and connect with the girls because they share a lot more of the wins that people have had through their Reels, as well as lots of tips about how to get started in the space of Reeling. Your course is actually open live as we speak. Ladies, if people would like to connect with you and/or join Rise With Reels, how can they do so?

Monique:

Amazing, so you can join Rise with Reels. You can find us on Instagram @risewithReelscourse where both Alisha and I are there. We are engaging with you, creating content for you. We have the course open right now, so Rise with Reels is a four-week, self-paced course that helps you and teaches you to skyrocket your brands using Reels. Four-week course, self-paced, and each module is released every week. We focus on things like how to create your Reels. These are step-by-step tutorials so there are no gray areas. We go into how to create content for your product-based business, for your service-based business, and also for the brands or the influencer and things like that.

Then we’re going to module three, all about transitions. Now, this is the best module. Everyone hangs on the edge of their seats because they’re like, “I want to learn how to get our signature seamless transitions.” And we dive right in to it there. And number four is also one of the best ones as well because we teach you how to use your Reels to make sales, right? Teach you how to use your Reels to launch your course. Reach you how to use your Reels to sell your product, to sell your service, and what you need to be doing in those kind of areas, which is awesome.

So yeah, that is live now. We close the doors in a few days. There’s also a group coaching upgrade option where you get access to myself and Alisha where we can give you feedback on your Reels, ideas, bounce everything back between you and I, between you guys and us, to really make sure that your Reels are a success.

So yeah, we’re so pumped to be welcoming everyone inside of the course.

Alisha:

And I think one big thing as well, that we just like to remind everyone as well is that we have done that many courses. We’ve invested in so many courses ourselves and we’ve taken what worked, what didn’t work from other courses, and we’ve applied it to our own. For example, we can’t expect our students… Everyone is living busy lives, whether you’re a mom, a dad, whether you are working full-time, right? Whatever you’re doing, you’ve got things going on, and that’s one of the reasons why we broke down each module into short, little snippet videos. We cut the fluff as we say it, right? We don’t add extra because we need it.

So some videos within the module is two minutes. So you might be brushing your teeth and you could, watch a two-minute video of how to do this and be like, “Oh okay, all right, all right.” So it’s bite size. It’s sort of digestible. But the whole module is no more than an hour, an hour and a half each week of content.

Clare:

Yeah, awesome. Yeah, because sometimes courses can, I feel, unnecessarily go on. I am a no-fluff kind of person myself, too. So if people want to connect with you on Instagram, what’s the best way they can find your individual businesses?

Monique:

So you can find me, Monique, @thesocialista_, with an underscore. You can also find both of us @risewithReelscourse on Instagram as well. We will be having fun and Reel in together.

Alisha:

And then you can find me over at thesocialimpact.au as well.

Clare:

And that’s Alisha.

Alisha:

Sorry, I was just like, “Oh, you can see me, can’t you?”

Clare:
